The NEW JCM delegation visited key stakeholders in Trinidad and Tobago, including the Minister of Energy, the National Gas Company, the National Petroleum Company, Lake Asphalt Company, Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited, oil casing distributors, and the Embassy of China in Trinidad and Tobago. Through in-depth communications, the two sides reached multiple strategic cooperation agreements focused on strengthening China–Trinidad and Tobago energy collaboration, promoting the sale of gas chemical products, supplying oil and gas equipment, and expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation also toured NEW JCM Group’s wholly owned subsidiary in Trinidad and Tobago—RRTL. Ms. Lifei Wang introduced that NEW JCM Group holds exploration and production rights for three high-quality oilfield blocks located in southern Trinidad and Tobago, along with associated natural gas resources. The company has completed business integration and established a local management team. Next phase, we will focus on strengthening oil and gas exploration and upgrading refined development. It includes new well drilling, reactivating idle wells, and maximizing the output of producing wells—efforts aimed at steadily increasing oil and gas production and laying a solid foundation for long-term growth.

This visit clarified the framework for deep collaboration among all parties and outlined a clear roadmap for NEW JCM Group’s continued development in the Trinidad and Tobago market. All sides agreed that China and Trinidad and Tobago possess highly complementary strengths across the energy industry value chain, with tremendous potential for cooperation. Leveraging this visit as a new starting point, NEW JCM Group will continue to strengthen communication and coordination with the energy sector in Trinidad and Tobago, accelerate the implementation of key projects, and contribute to building a new, mutually beneficial international energy cooperation framework between China and Trinidad and Tobago.
