Hengtai Aipu Company Attends AAPG/EAGE International Conference

From February 15 to 17, 2012, the Symposium on Fractured Carbonate Reservoir (GTW) jointly organized by AAPG/EAGE was held in Bali, Indonesia. Nearly 300 carbonate experts and scholars from all over the world engaged in geology, earthquake, oil field development and other fields participated in the event. Two articles by Heng Tai Epp were selected as the conference report, each entitled "FracturePredictionusingLowCoverageSeismicDatainAreaofComplicatedStructures".

Hengtai Aipu has two articles selected as the conference report, with the topics of "Fracture Prediction using Low Coverage Seismic Data in Area of Complicated Structures" and "Describing Fracture-Cave Systems in Carbonate Reservoirs by Geophysical Technology". In addition, "Application of Pre-stack Seismic Anisotropy for Fracture Detection, in Oseil Field Carbonate Reservoir, Seram Island, Eastern Indonesia" was also selected as the conference report. In addition to the two other papers of CITIC Indonesia Energy Company using the research results of Hengtai Aipu, there were five oral presentations during the conference detailing Hengtai Aipu's fractured carbonate prediction techniques and the latest research results.

The largest sponsor of this conference is CITIC Indonesia Energy Company. During the meeting, the coring data of several wells drilled and obtained considerable industrial oil flow in the cooperation project between Hengtai Aipu and CITIC Energy were displayed, which further verified the accuracy and reliability of Hengtai Aipu technology.

Through the discussion and exchange of this conference, Hengtai Aipu's comprehensive description technology of carbonate fracture-cave system has been understood and concerned by more experts and peers around the world.
