On the morning of February 23, 2012, the National Natural Science Foundation of China organized a team of relevant professors and experts to accept the National Natural Science Foundation project "Research on Comprehensive Identification and Prediction Methods of High-quality Carbonate Reservoirs" jointly cooperated by our company and Chengdu University of Technology.
There were nearly 20 professors and experts participating in the acceptance meeting. Academician Zhang Guowei was the leader of the acceptance meeting. Sinopec's boss Cai Xiyuan and Academician Ma Yongsheng, Professor He Zhenhua of Chengdu University of Technology, and Vice President Hao Fang (Changjiang Scholar) of China University of Science and Technology (Wuhan) participated in the acceptance. The participating experts spoke highly of the acceptance.
The fund project lasted for 4 years and achieved a series of relatively mature technologies for the identification and prediction of high-quality carbonate reservoirs, which laid a good foundation for the research of high-quality carbonate reservoirs.
Through the cooperative research of the fund, a variety of new technologies and methods with practical value have been formed, and a number of software systems with independent intellectual property rights have been developed, and obvious economic benefits have been achieved in practical applications. A group of high-level compound talents with the combination of geology and geophysics have been cultivated, and the integration of production, education and research has been truly realized.
