On the afternoon of May 30, 2013, the project "Search and Evaluation of Deep Water Sedimentary and Rock Traps in Block A of Congo" undertaken by Hengtai Aipu Company successfully passed the final review of the CNOOC expert group, and the project passed the acceptance smoothly. During the research period of the project, the project is closely integrated with Party A, and the research is carried out in strict accordance with the research design requirements and overseas production needs. During the research period of the project, the project is closely integrated with Party A, and the research is carried out in strict accordance with the research design requirements and overseas production needs. The CNOOC project acceptance expert group fully affirmed the solid work and outstanding achievements made by Hengtai Aipu Company for the subject research, and gave full affirmation and high evaluation to the project.

Starting from the most advanced theory and technology at home and abroad, the project has carried out a lot of research work, completed the establishment of regional to high-resolution sequence stratigraphic framework, deep-water gravity flow channel identification, and combined with geophysical technology to predict the favorable reservoir of the river, and at the same time carried out a fine search and evaluation of deep-water sedimentary lithologic traps, the research ideas of "six steps, three theories and two sets of technical systems" for deepwater exploration are summarized and put forward, and the series of offshore deepwater exploration technical ideas and techniques are refined, which has good reference significance for deepwater exploration research in West Africa.
