In May 2014, Hengtai Aipu Company's "Beijing International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for New Technology Research and Development of Oil and Gas Resources" (Beijing International Science and Technology Cooperation Base on Innovative Technology Research and Development of Oil & Gas Resources) was officially put into operation with the approval of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission.

The cooperative base makes use of the advantages of personnel, equipment, technology and capital to strengthen international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation; combines with institutions or individuals who master international advanced technology to form a technical research team to solve major oil and gas development and exploration issues; and focuses on the research and development of new technologies for oil and gas resources, so as to combine scientific research with practical application, and speed up the industrial layout and transformation of R & D achievements.

At present, the base has undertaken a national international scientific and technological cooperation (to Russia) project.

The operation of the base will create conditions for the company to carry out more extensive international scientific and technological cooperation, and provide a platform for the company to achieve the new goal of leapfrog development.
