News: Successful Application of Two-dimensional Crack Prediction Technology in Jurong

On November 4, 2011, the expert group of Sinopec East China Branch conducted a final acceptance review on the project "Research on Fracture and Reservoir Prediction of Permian-Gecun Formation in Jurong Area, Lower Yangtze in 2011" undertaken by Chief Engineer Zhang Zhirang, Senior Engineers Sun Yuanzhi, Gao Shujuan, Engineers Li Xiaojin, Li Juan and Wang Yanjiang of Hengtai Aipu Company. The use of two-dimensional seismic data for fracture prediction is a world-class technical problem that is difficult to solve in the industry at present. Under the condition of poor data quality and complex structure, the project team first carried out fine processing of seismic data and structural interpretation according to geological requirements, and then applied various technologies for comprehensive fracture prediction and multi-attribute reservoir prediction, with innovation, a variety of methods were used to complete the contract requirements in the case of defective data, which pointed out the direction for the next exploration and development work of Jurong Basin.
This project is the first successful example of our company's application of method and technology to crack prediction technology for two-dimensional seismic data. I would like to express my warm congratulations and heartfelt thanks to all colleagues who participated in this work.
