China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) Established Hengtai Aipu Geophysical Research Center

On December 8, 2012, the establishment and unveiling ceremony of "Hengtai Aipu Geophysics Research Center of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan)" was held in Wuhan China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).
Mr. Sun Gengwen, Chairman of Hengtai Aipu Company, Dr. Deng Lin, Deputy General Manager, Dr. Qin Gangping, Deputy General Manager, Hao Xiang, Party Secretary of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Hao Fang, Vice President, Du Yuansheng, Director of Science and Technology Department, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) Leaders of the School of Geophysics and Space Information and the School of Resources attended the unveiling ceremony.
The ceremony was presided over by Hao Fang, vice president of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Mr. Liu Guangding, a senior geophysicist in China and academician of Hengtai Aipu company, wrote an inscription for the research center. The relevant person in charge of Sinopec Geophysical Company attended the meeting to congratulate. Hao Xiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and Sun Gengwen, Chairman of Hengtai Aipu Company, made keynote speeches at the meeting. Professor Yu Wenhui, director of Hengtai Aipu Geophysical Research Center, made a report on the research ideas and work plans of the center. In the future, the center will carry out research and industrial application in seismic full waveform inversion, virtual rock physics experiment and earth stress field prediction.
China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Hengtai Aipu jointly established a research center, which aims to promote scientific and technological research to closely integrate market demand, carry out collaborative innovation in high-end technology research and development, promote the integration of industry, university and research and the technological progress of the industry, and at the same time cultivate outstanding talents for the society.
