On December 19, 2013, the Exploration Division of PetroChina Dagang Oilfield Company organized relevant experts to carry out the final acceptance of the project "Pre-stack Elastic Reservoir Inversion and Oil and Gas Prediction of Kongxi Slope" undertaken by Hengtai Aipu Oil and Gas Technology Service Co., Ltd. Hengtai Aipu Chief Geologist and Project Director Li Mei made a final report. The experts present at the meeting conducted a serious, meticulous and comprehensive review of the research results of the subject, and believed that the subject research workload is huge, the basic work is solid, the research is fine, and the prediction effect is obvious. The research results have been highly recognized by the participating experts.
In the project of "Inversion of Pre-stack Elastic Reservoir and Prediction of Oil and Gas in Kongxi Slope", the lithology of the study area is complex, sandstone, oil shale, mudstone and some volcanic rocks are mixed, and the study of lithology prediction is very difficult. The project team has tested six technical methods successively, the first five failed because of the unsatisfactory effect of distinguishing lithology, and finally explored the technical methods of complex lithology reservoir prediction, the problems of geological modeling linearization and seismic longitudinal resolution are well solved, the problem of lithology identification is successfully solved, and the horizontal distribution boundary and vertical overlapping relationship of sandstone are well resolved, and "sandstone and oil shale are well distinguished on the profile for the first time, and the distribution range of oil shale is predicted for the first time", it has a good guidance and reference for the understanding of the distribution law of the Kongxi slope reservoir and the next exploration direction.
The results of this research were praised by the leaders of Dagang Oilfield as "a model of outsourcing projects" and "one of the best projects". "Even if the results of this project are reported at the CNPC research meeting, it will be an excellent project to be praised". The leaders of Dagang Oilfield gave high evaluation and affirmation to the project results!
The successful completion of the project is the result of the perseverance and meticulous work of the project team, the result of friendly cooperation and joint efforts of both parties, and the embodiment of Hengtai Aipu's technical strength.
