CNOOC Shenzhen Branch's research project "Comprehensive research and application of geophysical identification methods for the Pearl I depression reservoir group" was successful.

On November 28, 2013, CNOOC Shenzhen Branch organized relevant experts to conduct an acceptance review on the key research project "Comprehensive Research and Application of Geophysical Identification Methods for Pearl-I Depression Oil Formation" undertaken by Hengtai Aipu Oil and Gas Technical Service Co., Ltd. Wang Lihua, chief engineer of Hengtai Aipu Comprehensive II Department, made a final report on behalf of the project team. Qin Gangping, deputy general manager of Hengtai Aipu, Li Mei, chief geologist and project manager, Fu Yanli, Luo Jinmei, Sun Qi, market region manager Shang Peile and assistant Zhang Yan attended the acceptance meeting. The participating experts conducted a serious, detailed and comprehensive review of the research results of the subject, and believed that the subject research has a solid foundation, reasonable technical ideas and technical routes, diverse technical methods, and huge workload. The research has achieved certain technical breakthroughs, and the research results have been obtained. Experts have always recognized.
"Research on geophysical identification technology of oil-rich zone (group)" has not been involved by predecessors at home and abroad, and there is no successful experience learning. The project research is extremely challenging, the difficulty is conceivable, and there are too many expected results. Uncertainty, once successful, its significance and long-term benefits are also immeasurable. Through a year of research and exploration, we have achieved obvious technological breakthroughs and rich research results. For the first time, the project determined the concept of "oil-rich interval (group)" and the meaning of parameters such as equivalent net oil-to-land ratio and equivalent net oil-to-sand ratio, explored the attribute fusion innovation technology of calcium and mud prediction and elimination of their abnormal effects, and formed a set of geophysical identification technology series of oil-rich interval (group), which was well verified in the target area.
The "oil-rich interval (group) geophysical identification technology series" formed by the subject can be applied in areas with high, medium and low exploration levels, greatly expanding the scope of exploration, especially in areas with low exploration levels, which can reduce exploration risks and improve the success rate of exploration, and has good applicability and promotion value.
The successful completion of this project is the crystallization of the collective wisdom of the project team, the result of friendly cooperation and joint efforts of Party A and Party B, and the re-expression of Hengtai Aipu's technical strength.
