Recently, Xi'an Guaneng Neutron Detection Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hengtai Aipu Group Xi'an Aohua Electronic Instrument Co., Ltd., jointly established by Xijing University and Northwest Institute of Nuclear Technology, Shaanxi Province Controllable Neutron Source Engineering Technology Research Center It was officially put into operation. The center is a provincial research center approved by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and it is also the first domestic research center focusing on controllable neutron sources and their applications. The high-temperature long-life small-diameter neutron tube developed by the center has reached the domestic leading level through scientific and technological innovation and achievement appraisal. In the next three to five years, the center will be committed to the development of new neutron generators and other excitation sources.

In the next three to five years, the center will devote itself to the development of new neutron generators and other excitation sources to solve the technical problems of miniaturization, high yield and long life of controllable neutron sources in China; at the same time, it will devote itself to the research and development of nuclear radiation detection technology and expand the equipment development of nuclear technology in energy exploration, military industry, aerospace and medical applications, the development of cutting-edge technologies such as the next generation of chemical source-free nuclear logging technology, neutron imaging technology, neutron activation element analysis technology and boron neutron cancer treatment technology.

 

The center has a vibrant and innovative scientific research team, the existing technical researchers31People, including academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering1People, with a doctoral degree accounted.52%. The director of the center is Dr. Wang Zhijian, chief scientist of Hengtai Aipu Group Xi'an Aohua Electronic Instrument Co., Ltd., and distinguished professor of Xijing University.
