Recently, the company received a good news from Thailand's ECO company, expressing high praise for the recent exploration breakthrough made by the Thailand project team of Hengtai Aipu Xinjiang subsidiary in the WBEXT-3C well in the L33/L44 block of the WichianBuri Basin in Thailand. Well WBEXT-3C was put into operation on March 10, with a daily oil production of 3000 barrels, a nozzle of 19/64 ', an oil pressure of 600psi and a flow pressure of 1644psi. All production parameters were stable, marking a breakthrough in the exploration and development of volcanic rock oil and gas in the basin. Since October 2012, the Thailand project team of Hengtai Aipu Xinjiang subsidiary has undertaken the comprehensive exploration and research work of petroleum geology of Thailand ECO Company. During the research work that lasted nearly one and a half years, all the members of the project team and the colleagues who once participated in it have worked conscientiously with highly responsible professional spirit, rigorous and realistic scientific attitude, carefully verified the characteristics of petroleum geology, and overcome many difficulties in work and life, gradually break through the problems of volcanic rock oilfield exploration and development, and initially form the research ideas and methods of volcanic rock oilfield.

For the first time, the theoretical system of volcanic petroleum geology is used to guide the study of oil and gas distribution in the basin. From the structural characteristics of volcanic basin, volcanic activity law, oil generation capacity of volcanic activity area, the relationship between hydrocarbon source rock and volcanic rock configuration, reservoir fracture genesis and other angles, the geological, seismic, logging and logging techniques are applied to fine depict the tectonic pattern of the basin, describe the law of ancient volcanic activity, and analyze the control of ancient volcanic mechanism on oil and gas reservoir, analysis of the relationship between faults at all levels and ancient volcanoes, etc., innovatively put forward a new understanding that the basin has five sets of oil-bearing layers, erupted magmatic rocks are high-yield reservoirs, tuff is also one of oil and gas reservoirs, volcanic activity areas are favorable for oil and gas generation, and reservoir fractures are distributed in tectonic stress concentration areas. According to the new understanding, multiple reservoir exploration targets are pointed out to effectively guide oil and gas exploration and development. Nine exploratory wells were drilled, five wells obtained high-yield commercial oil flow in sandstone reservoir, tuff reservoir and magmatic reservoir respectively, with a daily oil production of 50-400 barrels, and one well obtained high-yield commercial oil flow in magmatic rock.
